Meet Gary, Engagement Manager

Education:
BS Mechanical Engineering, University of RochesterMS Mechanical Engineering, MIT
MBA Sloan School of Management, MIT
Birthplace:
Watertown, NYBefore Keystone
My career includes both hands-on operating experience as well as consulting. After receiving my MS in mechanical engineering, I wanted to apply these skills to real-world experiences, so I joined a startup company, designing big screen TVs. From that position, I moved to a boutique engineering consulting firm in the aerospace sector where I further enhanced my passion for technology and got my first taste of consulting. At this point I knew I wanted to transition from engineering to management, so I returned to school for my MBA and entered management consulting. Why Keystone
I pursued a career in consulting for the opportunity to work on a variety of different, interesting, challenging projects while maintaining a stable “home” within one company. After 18 months with a “Big Three” firm, I joined Keystone for its focus on technology and R&D intensive industries, its cutting-edge research style and its close ties to Harvard Business School. I also wanted to tackle challenging business problems and work with world-class teammates. My Experience
Since joining Keystone, I have had the opportunity to dive deep in R&D as I developed R&D transformation strategies. In addition, I’ve expanded my technology knowledge by performing state-of-the-art analyses in the mobile advertising industry. I’ve also honed my entrepreneurial skills by helping Keystone recruit the best talent to develop our Boston and San Francisco offices.
