C. Roland Christensen Faculty Fellow, Associate Professor of Accounting, University of Utah

Christine Botosan teaches financial reporting and analysis at the University of Utah. She is the past liaison between the FASB and the academic community, as well as a former auditor and chartered accountant.
Her research examines the determinants and market consequences of corporate reporting strategy. She has more than 20 publications in top academic journals and practitioner-oriented venues, and has received multiple awards for her work, including the 2006 Accounting Horizons Best Paper Award, the 2001 AAA Notable Contributions to Accounting Literature Award and the 1996 AAA Competitive Manuscript Award, and has received several awards for teaching excellence.
Professor Botosan holds a BA in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada and a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
