Jeff offers more than 20 years of experience guiding top technology firms on crucial strategic, legal and regulatory challenges. His work also includes partnering with global law firms representing a host of clients in the technology and social media industries. As President, Client Services at Keystone Strategy, Jeff’s practice spans IP, including patent, trademark and copyright issues, transfer pricing, contractual disputes, business strategy and public advocacy. His work with global tech leaders including Amazon, Facebook, Oracle, LinkedIn as well as consumer goods such as Yeti.
One of Jeff’s memorable engagements involved helping Facebook understand precisely why people interact with specific site features. Working closely with Keystone’s Chairman, Jeff was involved in every aspect of the project, from econometric analysis to the eventual trial that culminated in a Facebook victory. Another substantial project involved assessing all the factors, from code to business processes, behind Amazon’s exceptional growth trajectory.
Jeff appreciates the many opportunities Keystone offers to mentor and advise future firm and business leaders. He enjoys working with Keystone’s diverse teams and appreciates the sense of collaboration and camaraderie that Keystone fosters. In 2010, Jeff helped found Keystone’s New York City office, which has grown to be a vital talent center for the firm and home to a group of peers who are economists, MBAs, scientists and academic experts.
Prior to joining Keystone, Jeff founded and served as general counsel for Airwave Wireless, an enterprise wireless software management company. He began his career as an intellectual property attorney at Irell & Manella, and later at King, Purtich, Holmes & Berliner in Los Angeles.
Jeff has a JD from the University of California, Berkeley and a BS in Political Science and Government and Business Administration from the University of Florida.
