Joseph joined Keystone in 2019 and is a Sr Technologist working out of the Boston office. Joseph has worked in technology, product, and leadership roles in startups and early-stage companies for 10 years. During that time he has done work in product development, design, and implementation; data science analytical work and tooling; and team leadership at various scales. He was a co-founder of two successful technology firms, one serving behavior change and student support in education and the other facilitating clinical research at a global scale.
Joseph’s background is in biomedical engineering, statistics, and automatic speech recognition. He completed a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech and began but did not complete a Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Statistics at Johns Hopkins—leaving to found the first of the two companies. In his free time, Joseph is as likely to be reading papers on modern machine learning or mathematical foundations as he is to be taking photos on a hike.
